Mirror from The Lost Center – JoeDubs -
The “lost center” describes the confusion of our time. Symbolically, but also in concrete scientific terms. A look up into the sky would be enough.
The following are articles that have been translated from German to English for your reading pleasure.

Reasons Earth Can’t Be Flat – Auf Zur Mitte
- The Southern Cross and the North Star Visibility
The Southern Cross and the North Star would have to be visible at the same time on a flat Earth, which is not the case. There is a short video about this: Flat Earth refuted in 103 seconds. The North Star must be aimed at about 90° above your head at the North Pole, while from the equator it is visible at 0° just above the horizon. This phenomenon would be completely impossible on a flat Earth. QED - The Sum of the Interior Angles of a Triangle
On a disk surface, it would be exactly 180°, but on a sphere surface, it would be more than 180°. This is the first thing that flat-earthers should check. QED - Formation of Rotating Primordial Mass
A rotating primordial mass cannot form into a disk because gravity acts radially, and thus there is no force that favors a “disk-shaped expansion” of the primordial mass. QED - Sun and Moon Size Changes with Perspective
The sun and moon would have to increase in size from the horizon towards the zenith, as that is where they approach the observer. Otherwise, there would be no day/night change, which is only supposed to occur due to “perspective.” If the sun were to approach and recede in perspective, it would: - Always be visible.
- Cover smaller and smaller distances in the sky at equal time intervals the closer it gets to the horizon.
But that is exactly what is not observed! QED - Sun Size at Sunset
The sun is much too big at sunset to confirm the flat-Earth theory. The sun would have to become much smaller and, above all, it would never disappear vertically downward as it does. Instead, it would get closer to the horizon and at some point, become so small that it would no longer be visible. QED - Flight Time Comparisons
Flight times differ greatly from the calculated distances on a disc. For example:
- Johannesburg to São Paulo: 7,429 kilometers, flight time: 10 hours 15 minutes.
- Moscow to New York: 7,509 kilometers (80 kilometers more), flight time: 9 hours 55 minutes.
If Earth were a disc, the flight from Johannesburg to São Paulo would take much longer, approximately three times as long. QED
- Clear Night Shadow Boundary
On a flat Earth, the observed boundary between light and shadow would have to be concave and blurred since there is no object between the sun and the surface. However, the observed boundary runs straight along a hemispheric great circle from north to south. QED - Seasons and the Flat Earth Model
The flat Earth model posits that seasons depend on the sun’s distance. This would require the sun to rotate in a small 365-day epicycle, changing its angular size rhythmically, which is not observed. QED - Horizon Effect
The horizon effect cannot be explained by “perspective compression.” See the video above: Sun’s trajectory as perspective. QED - Cuxhaven TV Tower Example
Photographs of the 230 m-high Cuxhaven TV Tower, taken from Heligoland (60 km away), prove the Earth’s curvature. For example:
- The Friedrich Clemens Gerke Tower platform (100 m) appears 109 m below the horizon when observed from a 40 m height on Heligoland, confirming curvature. These photos were taken long before the Flat Earth hype began. QED
- Artificial Horizon in Flight Navigation
In flight navigation, gyroscopes must constantly adjust to display the correct pitch. This would not be necessary if the Earth were flat. QED - Moon Orientation in the Southern Hemisphere
On a flat Earth, the moon would not appear upside down in the southern hemisphere. Observers would see it the same way or as a disk growing larger at the zenith. QED - Moon’s Radiance and Phases
If the moon emitted its own light (as flat-Earth supporters claim), it would not have phases, nor would the shadows of its mountains change with its phases. QED - Equinox Observations
At the equator during the equinox (e.g., in Quito), the sun rises in the east, passes through the zenith, and sets in the west, requiring a 180° rotation. On a flat Earth, this would result in only a 90° arc. QED - Airplane Navigation at the Equator
Airplanes would need to constantly curve to stay on the equator if the Earth were flat. On a globe, they only need to maintain altitude using the artificial horizon. QED - Starry Sky Rotation
The starry sky rotates clockwise in the northern hemisphere and counterclockwise in the southern hemisphere. This phenomenon can only occur on a sphere. QED
Additional Observations
24-Hour Sun in Antarctica
The 24-hour sun observed in Antarctica during its summer is impossible on a flat Earth. The sun appears to circle clockwise in the sky for months, contrasting with its counterclockwise motion during the North Pole’s summer. This is inexplicable on a flat plane, especially if Antarctica is claimed to be the circumference. QED
